For years, militant homosexuals have demanded that society redefine the
meaning of marriage because same-sex partners need the same legal benefits
as married spouses.  While that argument has largely been rejected in the
public arena, some politicians have tried to compromise with so-called
"civil unions," which grant virtually all the legal rights of marriage.
But a recent report suggests homosexuals are rejecting this compromise, and
states that do offer them are in fact seeing fewer and fewer registrations.

While it may score points in focus groups to talk about visitation rights,
the marriage debate, first and foremost, has always been about forcing the
public's acceptance of and affirmation for the homosexual lifestyle.  The
very fact that homosexuals are refusing to accept civil unions exposes the
fraud of their "rights" claim.
